Welcome It is official I would say that we are flirting with winter. We had a good dump a few weeks ago and ended with 8 inches of the white stuff. Today the weather warnings are for high winds, heavy rain then turning to snow with temps dropping well below freezing. So this morning the snow tires are on the Dodge Dart and well the truck is just fine with large and very aggressive tires. Even though I have a snow guy I like to keep a few snow shovels handy just in case I get the urge... lol Potatoes are all dug up and garden produce tucked away for winter supply. It is possible we could have an Indian summer yet, hoping so as I do have some heavy tree pruning I need to get done while the trees are getting ready for their own winter and the sap has slowed. So please do gather around and see where these two boney fingers take us today. Projects I have been breaking out the woodworking equipment and yup it is a sign of old age when you are reduced to building birdhouse. They have been fun and if you look closely all the shingles have been made with older scraps of wood I have been hoarding. Once in place I did a little woodturning to make them look authentic. They do make great gifts for people especially those who love having birds around like I do. A few have already found new homes. Paintings Finished these as well and they are donated to the local Arts Academy a theatrical group who do a great job of entertaining patrons with an annual line up of shows. They will be part of door door prizes and fund raisers. They are all Acrylic Pours with frames I have built from more scraps. The next project I would like to get started on again is woodcarving which has sat idle far too long. Like many things I do they get started and then just sit till I get the ambition to start them again. Its an old fart thing really. The problem being that I have far to much on the go and the garage looks like a war zone most of the time. Winter Project This house was freshly painted at point of purchase and that was 10 years ago so it is time once again. I am not a great fan of painting but it is something that needs to get done. Call it a make over lol... Of course writing is on the list. I have been working the past few months on a three book Theological series. I have finished one so far at 60K words and well into the next. I hope to get out a blog each week here so if you like please sign up so you can get updates. Having to learn Weebly all over again so if I have missed some of your last comments please accept my apologies as I wade my way through finding out how to comment again. Winter So as these guys are trying to decide what is coming and hanging onto the last gathering place before heading south I am reminded we all do the same. We grasp at the last days of summer and fall in hopes of stealing the last few days of warmth. Let it be a fair warning to dress warm before you visit. Angel loves the smells she finds on your shoes and boots. If she claims a coat then sorry she owns it but please know that you are welcome here and know that you are loved.... © Rolly A. Chabot
