Welcome Welcome to yet another instalment of some of natures provisions. Gather around and know that you are welcome here. A place of safety and a place of love. Please do find a seat and say hello to those who have gathered. They are a small gathering but I am blessed to have you. Help yourself to the treat of the night call Chaga Tea. You cannot get anymore natural than this drink. Settle in and let me share some of the benefits with you. Chaga Tea What is Chaga? It is what you see in the picture above, rather disgusting looking thing is it not. Chaga's origin has been recorded going as far back as the early 16th century as being a cure for upset stomach. I was first introduced to Chaga by the Mi'kmag Indians in Nova Scotia in eastern Canada. To me it was very strong and bitter at the time. For them it was normal to leave a large pot on the stove 24-7 just adding chunks of Chaga. It was never meant to be boiled but simmered slowly at a minimum of 2-3 hours. I then strain out the chunks and save them as they can be dried and used again as often as 4 times. Here is tghe link I promised... be prepared it is a long read... https://oriveda.wordpress.com/chaga-the-facts/#h-8 One of the best I have found. Just on a bit of a side note Chaga can sometimes be found in Health Food Stores. One source I am certain of is Amazon.ca or Amazon.com. A warning it is not cheap, if you are certain you have it in your area then simply harvest it. Be careful to leave a bit of the Chaga attached to the tree as it will spur new growth for future harvesting. A good rasp file will take of the black outside layer. Once the light brown or tan is exposed all you have to do is break it into chunks and allow it to dry. It lasts forever if properly handled. Closing
Thank you for being so patient with me. The more I look around Weebly the more hidden treasures I find in comparison to other sites. A personal thank you to Angelia for all your help and hard work, you are amazing. I have created a schedule for posting on a regular basis and it looks like Monday, Wednesday and Fridays will be the days. Saturdays will be brainstorming days running through all those yellow sticky note and recorded thoughts. Hugs to all and thank you for sitting in on my chatter... I hoist a cup of the steaming liquid to you... © Rolly A. Chabot
