Welcome Hello all... just feeling the need to pass this along as twice in the past week I have heard people complaining of having to use those hard ice packs for their hurts. Sorry there is no fire in The Fireside tonight. Just a little to warm outside and inside, will be turning on the A/C soon to keep the house at a normal comfortable temerature. Needless to say we are still missing Quigley not being around but it is getting a little easier. Thank you again for all the kind words and your caring spirits. It is people like you who make community and I am certainly blessed to be a part of the "Hood." Great Ice Pack Do you want one that forms around any part of the body and gives a deep even layer of cold that penetrates, one that last for hours and can be chilled again in an hour or less. I first discovered this a few years ago by accident. Very simple to make as well very inexpensive which I think most of us are looking for these days. Here is how you brew a personal batch for those aches, sprains and well near anything that a chill will reduce the swelling. 2 Large Ziplock Baggies 1 Cup of Rubbing Alcohol 2 Cups of water Add the ingredients into one bag, get as much of the air out as you can get. Be very careful and be sure and seal it very well. Next slip everything into the second bag, a suggestion here is to place the full bag zipper down inside so the zippers oppose each other. Again take as much air as you can out and seal it well. Place your masterpiece in the freezer for an hour and like magic you have this amazingly handy ice pack which can be used over and over again. The ingredients will never freeze but will crystallize and hold the cold for long periods of time. Hope this works for you as well as it has me... enjoy and please no drinking the stuff... Hugs to all... again thank you for the kind words... Rolly A. Chabot
