Poking the Bear
Needless to say, there is nothing quite like Alberta Beef. It has been a summer of barbecuing and smoking near anything edible in the smoker...
Welcome as always to the Fireside. It has been a long while but as the title says something is poking at this old bear to get writing again. Rolly Bear has been a title that has been hanging around me for a while...lol... it goes a long way.
Why the poke well been getting the urge again to be creative. My problem is I have some many projects on the go it is hard to get into anything for any length of time. Winter has always been the time when I love to stand inside a nice warm home and watch the snow, freezing rain and high winds... well just blow by.
Not certain why I have been so blessed with minor health issues. I suppose it is all those years of abuse I gave my body coming back to haunt me. Back in May, I had been making a sandwich and the next thing you know I woke up on the floor. They suspect it was related to blood/sugars being off whack. Then recently I found I had Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo." Simple fix by manoeuvring the head in a different direction. The procedure is called the Epley Maneuver.
Then followed what appears to be a torn ACL tear under the left kneecap. The left knee has really gotten back these past few years and now with this happening I may get a new knee.
Whine as I may the world keeps moving along. I am truly blessed to look outside and see the sun, trees and creation. So much more so than many people have.
I have over the summer been jotting ideas down as they come into my path. I have several blog thoughts tucked away. As well I started a new series of what appears to be three novels.
I write with Scrivener and they have just released a new upgrade which I have. It makes the program a super writing program with everything you need all on one page. I have been using the program for 7 years now and it still amazes me at its efficiency. No more chasing notes and slips of paper in other writing formats.
So hope you have all been kept busy this summer and had time to get out and enjoy your favourite activities. Passing along many hugs as always...
