Welcome I so feel Sunday is a special day, one which has always been set aside and not only rest but to ponder. Pondering can be anything but that time of silence where you shut out all the chatter of life and just sit. Please help yourself to the snacks and drinks. Coffee is the offering today should there be anything else just ask. Seasons come and go, with each there is change like we see here. Once vibrant and nourishing a tree. Today it lay as a reminder all things are but for their purpose season. It's work is not finished, it too will return to the earth and continue as nutrients once again but in a different form. Colour plays such a significant role in our lives. There is that time when we are alive and vibrant a time when all your senses come it play. When we are younger we are filled with adventure and seek to be filled with knowledge of all which is around us. As we age I like to think we have done ok, we have fallen, got up and dusted ourselves off and looked at life as being a good lesson to never give up. The addictions and life choices may have slowed me but I like to think I have made up for those lost years. Having regrets I think is normal for all of us. That old saying "If only I had" comes into mind. Sadly if we hang onto them they will rob you of what is alive and well in your world. Taking the time at the end of the day or for that matter anytime of the day to sit and appreciate what we have. It is what this picture I took a few years ago speaks of. Sadly as we sit today in Canada we think of the many in Florida are facing at this moment. CNN has been running fairly consistant updates for us. I am thankful of their reports as it keeps apprised as to what many of you are facing. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I do hope we again see this massive influx of help and compassion show through the people. I caught a small clip of a man who had bought the last generator at a store. The lady in the clip had just been weeping as she was in great need and there were no more to be had. This because there was an oxygen machine in her home that required constant electricity. The act of kindness which followed shows me there is love and compassion still alive. The man simply turned and gave it to her. It was an amazing scene to see and be a part of. What a powerful act of kindness. It was later learned that he simply paid for it and gave it to her. Stories and testimony such as these touch the heart. Even through the storms of life there is hope, there are these small nuggets we see and read about. This after a storm flew through this year, stripping shingles and downing trees. This the symbol of love and hope... powerful in so many ways. Take the time today or when it comes to mind to be thankful for all you have been given. When it appears you have nothing left, stop and think of all you have. Feel the pulse in your arm, feel your heart beating in your chest. Place your hand on your chest and feel life being breathed into you. The human body is a fascinating thing is it not. There are often times when we are so consumed with life, deadlines etc we fail to count all we truly have. In closing I leave a truckload of hugs to simply be picked up and held close... they are for you. Hugs and Blessings from Canada

There certainly is much to be thankful for. But so often we overlook it and take things for granted. As you say, Be still and ponder.
