Counting Your Change

Welcome

Well dear friends here we are today a glorious day indeed. We are sitting at +30C converted to Imperial that is a lovely 86 degrees. For us that means near perfect. For my self I like it a little cooler down into the +20 or 70 degree range. I guess that is part of the reason I lived so long in the far north of Canada.

So please gather around help yourself to the array of snacks and treats. Be sure and get a cup of something. For me it is a fresh cup of Chaga.

For those who have been praying for this issue in my back, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I can feel your prayers and concern. I will keep you posted as to what is happening... hugs attached

The Unexplained

Do you every have those, "What is that moments." Recently a had a small painting project,  I like to call them a "Splash and Dash" job with just any old paint. I choose from a few cans, gave it a few minutes on the shaker. When I pulled the lid off this is what I found. The other very obvious thing was the paint was far to old to be of any use.

Personally I think there was a real artist hiding in the can because this is what he gave me. I can see many different things in here. Lets see, stormy sky, mountain range peeking through the clouds, a whale frolicking in the surf... etc etc.

I can well imagine you can see far more so if you like please leave a comment. I did find another can of paint and by the way that served the purpose well.

Nature Provides

She can and will give you the best along with her worst. These are in my front flower beds and they are amazing. They usually flower in mid to late June and will continue to flower late into the fall. They seem to defy natures call to go to rest as they are capable of withstanding heavy frost. They just keep flowering.

Side by Side

These two grow vertually side by side, another variety but so soft and tender. They get the message and slip away into hibernation at the first sign of cold. They got the memo and quietly shed the last of their petals.

Yet Another Beauty

Soft, gentle fragrant and just being what it is called to be. How do we differ from what we are called to be. What changes us from simply loving and caring for others.

Picture

Vibrant and Yet Tender

Can we be the same. Can we be present and the same with all people. We do change depending on who comes into our lives. Maybe we need to search and find the reason we change. Is it ourselves or is it the other.
Picture

Beautiful but Toxic

It is wild, inviting and yet dangerous. Certainly a pleasure to look at, we need to find what is toxic in life. What is holding you back from living openly and freely, what causes you to withdraw and pull back.

Erosion

A few years ago while living on one of the Gulf Coast Islands off the west coast of Canada  I found this rock formation which made me sit and ponder relations in life. It spoke to me very clearly the importance of staying strong and holding onto what is important in life.

Should there be something or someone in your life which is eroding your joy, then it is time to act. There are many ways but the best approach is be honest. You have to ask yourself if that which is causing you pain and strife in your life, is it worth it.

If so and it can not be resolved then it is time it be left behind. As long as it has a hold on you it will hold you back and you will never become who you are meant to be. If you are the reason then it is you who has to change.

Rolly,

I love the paint lid artistry. Abstract perfection. 😊

Your florals are beautiful and glad your area is enjoying some agreeable weather.

You've incorporated some good points to ponder over morning coffee and perhaps over afternoon chaga as well.

Keeping you in prayer and thank you for the updates on how things are going with your back dilemma.

70 degrees works for me. The spring in PA has been almost perfect. The pics are absolutely beautiful. Glad you laid them out for us to see!

Beautiful pictures!

And the best advice when it comes to handling something or someone that is eroding one's joy.

Hugs to you, Rolly. You are living in a beautiful region.

Hi Martie...
Yes certainly blessed to be living here. I can say that now but it is that -40 weather that has one looking elsewhere.
I think we are all naturally inclined to please people in some ways. That erosion of joy is sometimes far to late in the seeing and it is hard to break that cycle without hurting others. Thanks for the comment and visit...

Hi Rolly I Always see your pics as works of art . You said it so well in Erosion about pain and healing . If memories bring only pain then I think there is room for divine intervention . Blessings Peter .

Oh, Rolly! Those flowers are lovely and so beautiful! Roses, phlox, and so many others. That makes life so grand, right there. Hehe. The photo on the gulf coast there - just wow! The paint lid made me chuckle because I would do the exact same thing: look at what sort of image formed.
Thinking of you and your back; hoping you get news very soon! Enjoy that chaga, too! Sending you hugs. I think it got warmer where you are than it did here today! Haha.

Hi Cynthia...
Flowers add colour to life, the more you have the more you want...lol. I am certain we got warmer here today in your F scale we reached near 90. Far to warm for this old guy.
The doctor says he is working hard to get me in for an evaluation, sure hope so. This being still is not me in the least...

Hugs and safe travel

Hi Rolly, the rock formation metaphor is not lost on me. I understand it is a choice how and with whom we spend our days. Great reminders here xx And love those flowers! We also had a string of hot days in BC, but now more of the typical temperatures (cooler). Hugs!

Hi Christy...
So good to see you stop on and leave and impression as always. The rock and our lives spoke volumes to me at the time. As long as we keep our very core happy nothing will erode and be lost...

Hugs as always

There is not an artist hiding in my current paint can... Could it be because it's an old coffee can... ;)

I love your 'Splash and Dash - what a cool pic for a workshop area (really anywhere).

Your flowers are exquisite - and serve as food for thought with my coffee this morning.

"Can we be the same. Can we be present and the same with all people." Honest to goodness, Rolly... sometimes, depending on the person, I am downright absent! (LOL)

Sending you hugs, smiles and wishes for news soon from your MD / continued healing. Love and hugs, Maria

Hi Maria...
So great to see you stop in and take a peek at my ramblings. Paint cans all have an artist inside..lol... I may have been one lucky dude to have caught him in that old can.
I haer you about being absent sometimes in a conversation with some people... it can happen. When it does I have to stretch my awareness to stay tuned in.
Hoping they can get something happening quick, just want to get this fixed so I can get back to living again...

Hugs as always from Alberta

Hi Deb...
Thanks for stopping in and sharing a little. Will be praying that your patch of ground gets a little and or lots of rain. I was listening to the radio this morning and I got a 1.4 inch. Just a little south and west of me under 10 miles away they got 4 inches of rain.
Hoping you get sone wet soon Deb...

Rolly, that paint lid is amazing! To me it looks like a snow-dusted beach with mountains in the background and beautiful skies. I know it makes no sense to see mountains over water, unless the water is not the ocean, but a lake or river. Anyway, it's beautiful! And so are your flowers. What vibrant colors!

Hi Shauna...
Thank you for the comment and sharing what you see. Funny once something comes through our eyes the mind interprets what is hidden far below the depths. One of the many reasons I love art, though some has become so unrealistic... I friend painted a picture recently and when you looked at it it had nothing, just dead flat nothing.
She just laughed as she turned it over and hung it as painted. It was an amazing scene. All of the odd stuff in life we simply look at and never truly appreciate... Thank you for the comment... great insight.

Hugs from Canada
