Welcome Welcome to this little corner of what is called home. Take the time to sit awhile and simply rest. This is a place of safety and hopefully a place of peace. It has been a hard last few days with the loss of Quigley. Our home is quite, almost restless in feeling with the anticipation hoping she would be just around the corner. The other night we took the time to slowly gather up her toys, food and water dish and place them all in a box that soon will go to the garage. Now it just sits in a corner of the basement not willing to be moved yet. This past few days I have become more and more aware of being tired. The general rule of thumb is getting more rest but I have yet a better solution I have found has worked often in the past. No pun intended but I like to lean on a tree. Gather around and allow me to share a little tidbit of information with you of just one small way nature can provide the gift of regeneration of the mind and body. The Common Tree Stop for a moment and reflect on what is happening with the common tree. This one I found on the west coast Island of Galliano in Canada. It was a real hugger tree, they are an energy field all of their own. They have sank their roots deep into the earth in search of moisture and have created their own life force. What do they give in return, the list is endless, they help create the air we breath, construct our homes and supply us with an endless supply of heat and comfort. The energy they have does not simply stop at its roots, it continues up to the tallest of branches and radiates outward for our use. It is a symbiotic connection between the forces of the earth and the continuing force they emit returning the energy back to the roots for continued and healthy growth. Have you ever considered drawing on that same energy and become a part of it. Years ago while I was tramping around in the wilderness regions of northern Canada I was taught by the Northern Cree Indians the beauty of tapping into this resource. Often I would carry a 60 pound pack and a rifle over some of the most rugged terrain simply to get to the next ridge to see what was there. I woukd take off my pack, take out my water bottle and lean against the tree. With concentration of the functions of the tree were doing against me I was able to feel and draw from that force flowing freely. I smile as I think of those days, back then I would have been called a tree hugger and I would openly admit that yes I was one of them. Next time you are out hiking in the back country, walking through the the park or simply sitting in your back yard find a tree and lean against it. Focus on the energy as the tree works with the earth and returns that same energy returning it to it's roots and or so as to produce new ones. Close your eyes and soon you will feel the power. There have been many case studies I have found since the invention of the internet to the general public. Prior to that it was a little known fact the benefits and healing power of being one with the tree. Next time you are weary, tired and run down take in what nature has to offer, stay and rest as long as you can and trust me you will be blessed. God has provided and they are there for our benefit, take the time to enjoy and be refreshed. Hugs to all... © Rolly A. Chabot

I would prefer an ocean view or beautiful lake , anything but my fence . I know you think I'm missing the whole point . Anyway I'll leave it to serendipity . Who knows ? Blessings Peter
