Welcome as Always Woke up this morning considering how long it has been since I posted something it was time. I have the next character in the colourful 5% near ready. Just a few edits here and there and hope to post it soon. Miss Angel had a trim last week and is looking very sweet. The trimmer is saying she is petrified being on the cutting table. I have noticed as well her riding in the truck. It is a Chevy and it has a center counsel with a cushion made for her. A few blocks down the road and she heads to the back seat. All and all she is a blessing each day to have around and certainly lives up to her name. Every day or so I have to stuff all her toys back in the box just to avoid the hazards... lol... when you step on a squeaky toy that starts the whole toss the toy trick. She is very intelligent and knows a few toys when asked for. She is always ready for company and as much as I dislike a barking dog in the house she has learned that as well. A few "Thats ok Girl" words and she sits whining waiting the stranger to enter. I can not think of a time when she rejected someone but she did the other day traveling members of an unnamed religious group came knocking. I had to grab her and she would not stop barking. Animals have a far better sense about people than we ever will have. And the hunt is on.... Interesting Winter It has been a rather pleasant winter here. I believe the coldest it has gotten was -32C to you in the south that is 57.6F. On the most part the hardest part is getting out of the what I call slacker suit... lol... jogging suit. Oh how we love them "Ehhh...! as we Canucks would say. But once all bundled up and after a few minutes you say to yourself this is not that bad. I really out to get out more. I have started on a new novel after taking a long hiatus. I find it getting harder to come up with new original ideas. After so many novels I am running out of characters. Thus I am finding the true nature of writing off the cuff and building around them. I have found over the years having so many interests I switch slowly and with some hesitance in painting. What I find exciting is what magically happens with the paints. It is a real thrill to watch it unfolding slowly with a little persuasion. It is hard to resist moving the paint too much and getting it all muddy looking. As I learn I have slowly been able to paint over others that failed to meet expectations. Here are a few recently done as well as the one at the top. Trust In closing my thoughts of the day. The world is moving at such a pace and people seem to be falling into rebellion at what is being addressed in the news. Rights are being undermined, laws are being adopted to attempt to control people. Each incident we see seems to being growing aggression. Cost of living for the average working people has become an all time high. Taxation like this has never been higher. People are wanting more and more and over burdening what ever systems are in place. Originally taxation was set in place to help recover after the war, it was meant to be a temporary stop gap which has never closed. People like my Dad who had seen the ravage or war willing paid it to help the common good of all people. In the US can range from 10 to 35% where in Canada they are from 15 to 29% federally. Then we have Provincial tax which is running in the area of 10% per $125,000 and jumps accordingly. Plus last year we were hit with a 5% surtax on Carbon emissions, all indications are and reports say we are producing the smallest carbon footprint. Now the Federal government is looking at imposing yet another Carbon Tax at as high as 10% on personal income. Many people in the millennial age bracket are paying the highest taxes as it is. With the advent of instantaneous news we see time after time the flagrant disregard in the ways the money is being managed. Like most people there have been cutbacks and watching closely how personal money is close at hand. Holidays and outings take on a new meaning as you have sacrificed to save enough. All in all I am truly blessed to live in a land with such diversity. Complete landscape changes within short drives in any direction. If you are looking at entertainment such as a movie and popcorn they become special. Faith
There are times when I have to stretch my faith knowing the day will come when He returns. In my humble opinion there is a great shift in world affairs where we see natural disasters like never before. Pollution is at an all time high, we have truly made a mess of things and I wonder at times how long we will be sustained. Thus prayer is my answer. Most everything outside of my small world is hard to grasp. Pain and suffering ranks so high. Senseless acts such as this recent school shooting in Florida brings your heart to a halt, especially after the shooter was known to authorities. Did no one see this coming. Again and again I get the reassurance all is under His control and not mine. I am just so thankful for what I have, faith, family, heath and I am surrounded by this great land. It is the place I go for healing... I am truly blessed with friends who read this simple post... attached as always are as many hugs as you can handle. © Rolly A. Chabot

Hey there, dear friend! I apologize for not seeing this as soon as it came out. Better late than never. 😂 I was fascinated by the whole read: your acrylic pour paintings have me just in awe! They are wonderful creations! I would try that, but between my haikus and flash fictions and mandalas and poems and meditations, I'm pretty tapped out at the moment in my world of interests. But then pendulum will swing back one of these here days. Hehe. Angel is such a blessing to you in so many ways. It's wonderful to read about the joy she brings you and will also defend you when it comes to shifty people. Hehe. And I can hear her saying, "Pop, I don't like the groomers. Can you not take me there? I mean they scare me, ok?" lol Maybe different groomers are in order? Ha ha...I have no idea. :)

Winter continues here with ice and snow all around but not too cold. I am having a rough time as everything lately sends me reeling. It is faith and prayer that get me moving. Sid as usual is his great self. Love that photo of Miss Angel and Sid sends her his sincerest meows. Is it not wonderful that animals can go through life so peacefully when they have good home but people are constantly filled with worry and anxiety especially me. Many blessings to you.
