The Good Days They were better days as I recall, filled with fond memories. Today I think of Mom, beside being a Mom she was a talented artist, filled with humility and a love for life. Her painting grace my walls and there is not a day that passes I stop and admire her gifting. Dad passed away in 2005 and Mom in 2014 after surviving a depression and a war which Dad served overseas in. They proudly celebrated 63 years of marriage. Once they retired they loved to travel each year to Mesa Arizona for the next 20 years until Dad could no longer drive safely. Mom was a hard worker who raised four children, tended to the daily chores of caring for the family. I know if I had the chance to tell her again my words would be simple... "Well done good and faithful servant." We love you and miss you Mom... rest in His care now. © Rolly A. Chabot

Love this photo - your parents look like they LOVED life. :) I know their spirit is still with you. How awesome that your mom was an artist - I have a soft spot for artists - and for writers. :)
