Welcome You have picked a great day to say hello with a Chinook Wind coming through. The early Blackfoot People used to call it "Snow Eater." They are a nice break from the cold and chill outside. They do have a downside and that is barometric pressure change which brings on the migraines. The start of another week and I have to tell you this time change thing is still with me. I wish the government would simply eliminate it once and for all. It was originally designed to give the workforce that extra each of more daylight. Settle in and say hello especially if you are new... above all know that you ar loved. Never Done I started this carving several years ago. The wood is Alberta Birch and a very figurative piece. It has a little spalt and plenty of Birdseye. After hours and hours of picking away at it I decided I would break the mold of finish it just as is, partially completed showing even the rough work. Each time I have worked on this a common question comes to mind. How would differently would our world look without love. I would be a very dark and lonely place to be I would think. We have won wars over love of Country, love of those we protect, love of life. The question that kept repeating it self was "Does love ever end?" It starts as a small seed and flourishes when it is nurtured. I think we can all relate to those times when we were not so thoughtful of others. They are hard to forget and near impossible to go back and change things. So thus the reason to call this one "Unfinished Love" We all can afford to grow deeper in our world and extend that hand of grace when we are asked. You see love is never complete, even in death we continue to love. Love is never finished...Yes there is still much to be done with this carving to bring it to proper standards ... yet love never is complete.... nor will this one. © Rolly A. Chabot
